ITTIA’s data access tool for offers more value and supports db.linux

June 16, 2003 — Bellevue, WA — ITTIA ODBC, a powerful tool for accessing embedded databases, is now more useful than ever. ITTIA ODBC 4.0 adds many new functions, including support for the latest version of Raima databases and db.linux.

ITTIA ODBC can also translate all RDM data formats, including those that can not normally be displayed using SQL: string arrays, structures, structure arrays, compound keys and bite & numeric arrays.

“ITTIA ODBC’s ability to translate these advanced data structures into standard database language will make information available to clients that was simply not accessible before this new version,” said ITTIA engineering director Bill Adams.

Now, all of the data hidden in databases can be freely accessed using industry standard ODBC tools, such as Microsoft Access, Excel and Crystal Reports. Previous versions of ITTIA ODBC have provided ODBC access to many software applications in the financial, engineering, manufacturing and educational sectors, in organizations ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies.

ITTIA ODBC 4.0 contains many other improvements. It has a new user guide that takes embedded database application end-users through the steps of accessing their data through ODBC. It also adds an ODBC API (Application Programming Interface) to db.linux.

“We are very proud of the innovations in ITTIA ODBC 4.0, and we look forward to helping our customers receive the most out of their data,” said ITTIA president Sasan Montaseri.
